What you will achieve
By the end of the course you will be able to:
Identify several different painting styles
- Use oil paints at an introductory or intermediate level
- Show that you have practised drawing and painting
- Show that you have produced at least two pieces of finished work
Painting and drawing course starting in September or media specific courses, Life Drawing courses, Life Drawing or Portrait Painting one-day workshops or other one-day art workshops.
For 1st lesson you will need bring:
Any oil paints you have / Oil painting paper / Empty jam jar & a medium sized hog’s hair brush.
A materials list will be given in week one, but for the rest of the course you will need:
Oil paints / Drawing materials / Brushes / Primed paper for oils / Zest-it dilutant / Palette / Notebook / Folder for handouts.

Maggie has a first class BA Honours Fine Art degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Brighton University. She exhibits regularly in Arundel and London and has won awards in local and national art exhibitions. Maggie works as both artist and designer in a wide variety of media.
