About this Course

Essential first stage for people who are interested in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) as a career. This course covers basic theory and practice of teaching EFL/ESOL. It also includes different aspects of English grammar. On completion of the Preparatory Course in TESOL, students may be eligible to progress to the TESOL Certificate course. Students will have to meet the Trinity College entry requirements.

Adults (18+) who wish to consider a career in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and who have a high level of competence in written and spoken English.
Please complete a personal statement with your application. Applicants will be invited to a brief interview or will be given a telephone interview.
