About this Course

This qualification has been designed as an introduction to the areas of Business, IT and Travel & Tourism, retail and stock control. The units have been chosen to interlink and have a vocational relevance which will allow you to develop a range of skills.



Assessment will be by a range of methods including presentations, reports and practical tasks.


All students have gone on to do further study such as IT, Business and Travel and Tourism, Art and Media and Cabin Crew.


The course gives great support for students throughout which includes: developing confidence and self esteem, excellent training in applying for work and professional careers advice and guidance for the future.


This year we were very proud of our winning students on this course who took part in an area Enterprise Competition.

 

Entry Requirements

At least 2 GCSEs at grade 1 or above, preferably including English and maths


plus successful interview and reference.


(If you have at least 3 GCSEs at grade D / 3 or above (including English), you may be able to start on one of our higher level courses instead)

Progression/Career Path

After 1 year you can achieve a BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies. This means you can apply for an appropriate course at Level 2 - or you can seek employment.
