About this Course

Based in our state-of-the art recording studios, this highly practical course will teach you about the music industry and develop your musical skills. You can choose either a performance or a production pathway. Students have access to industry-standard recording equipment and software, as well as rehearsal rooms and our own theatre. Projects will be based on realistic workplace scenarios..

Entry Requirements

To start on this course you need:


At least 3 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English and maths
or
a relevant Level 1 qualification, including English and maths requirements and a tutor reference.


Applicants are auditioned.

  • Contextual research
  • Exploring composition
  • Skills and practice


    English and Maths are part of the core programme of study. Students who have not achieved grade A-C / 9-4 in English and Maths will be required to study the appropriate level as part of their main qualification. More information

  • Progression/Career Path

    After 1 year, you can achieve a UAL Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production. This means you can apply for one of our Level 3 Music courses.
