Course Content

Throughout the first term (the exploratory phase) we investigate the creative thought process. Students are encouraged to apply emerging ideas to a wide variety of new materials, methods and media, to take risks and experiment. This is supported by a programme of critical studies with students participating in a series of creative investigative workshops, study skills, seminars, trips and off site activities.

The second term presents the opportunity for students to improve techniques and skills and integrate these through further exploration related to areas of interest and potential progression. By the final confirmatory stage students initiate their own Final Major Project within a specialist area.

Progression/Career Path

After 1 year you can achieve a University of the Arts London Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design. This means you can apply for university level courses in art, design or media.
