Students Do Make Up For National TV

N orthbrook students helped launch Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search to find a new star to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. The students, who are studying for the degree in Make Up for Theatre & Media, worked on the advert for the BBC’s new talent programme, ‘Over The Rainbow’, which is currently being aired. Students Lydia Pankhurst, Hanna Canfor, Laura Hyman and Alex Jones spent two days styling all the Dorothys for the ad.

Starting in Spring 2010, Over The Rainbow sees Lord Lloyd Webber, Graham Norton and a panel of celebrity experts, including Charlotte Church, EastEnders star John Partridge and esteemed actress Sheila Hancock search to find the nation’s Dorothy for The Wizard of Oz.
