Biography

Geoff Woolley is a producer, writer, mixer, re-mixer and keyboard player and has worked with a wide range of artists in the studio and for live performances.  He also writes commissioned music for TV, radio and other media and is co-founder and director of Big & Clever Music production company, providing music for a wide range of media uses globally.

 

Geoff is Logic Pro 101 certified and has an in-depth knowledge of Pro Tools and Cubase.  Having worked as a studio engineer, he has a solid background in recording and production and also possesses a broad knowledge of live sound production as well as the music business in general.

 

He has been teaching since 1998, previously working at Lewisham College, Institute of Music and Technology (IMT), and Mid Kent College.  He qualified as a teacher with a Certificate of Education in Post-Compulsory Education in 2009.

 

Other relevant qualifications include City and Guilds certificates in Sound Engineering and Music Technology.

Geoff currently plays keyboard with 10 piece funk and soul band AYU.

 

He has worked in the studio with Maxi Jazz (Faithless), Sanchita Farruque (Nitin Sawnhey/Sting), Heidi Vogel (Cinematic Orchestra), Placebo, Soul Immigrants and Emanative.

 

He has also performed live with his own group K-Scope plus Sanchita Farruque (Nitin Sawnhey/Sting), Heidi Vogel (Cinematic Orchestra), Woody Woodmansey (David Bowie), Soul Immigrants and Emanative.

 

Other Information

Material released as K-Scope on Earth, Cookin' Records, 4Lux, Narcotix Inc. and Further Out Recordings.  Also released two artist albums plus various tracks on compilation albums with Revco Records.

 

Recorded for two John Peel Radio 1 sessions, one Capital Radio and one XFM session.

 

Performed live at BBC Radio 3 stage at Womad, various other festivals such as End of the Road and Green Man plus many live venues around the UK.

 

Written and produced around 200 tracks for use as production library music with Big & Clever Music, Sony/BMG, Warner/EMI/KPM/Ded Good, Universal and Sky.
