Student's Designs are Hot Property
D esigns produced by a Surface & Textile graduate from Northbrook College for the interior design company, Harlequin, are now available to purchase from their new range. Kate Laskey was awarded a six week work placement with Harlequin when she exhibited her final year project at the New Designers event in London. Her unique designs have been incorporated into the design company’s new ‘Identity’ collection.
Kate’s final year project was entitled ‘Ten stops from home’ and featured a collection of wallpapers, furnishing and upholstery fabrics and cushions that all incorporated images noted from her journey to and from college. Her designs, described as inspirational and highly individual, impressed the judges and secured her the sought after placement.
Harlequin’s new collection of stunning wallpapers includes the building design that Kate had featured in her own project.
