Northbrook Hosts Masterclasses from Top Music Producers
N orthbrook College is to host masterclasses from top recording industry professionals - renowned producers and engineers who have worked with some of the biggest names in music (including Muse, The Futureheads, Kasabian, Snow Patrol and Corinne Bailey Rae, as well as classic artists such as Paul McCartney, Bob Marley, The Clash and AC/DC).
‘Mic to Master’ is a two-day training event, organised by Prism Sound and JAMES (the education arm of the music industry). The event is aimed at sound engineers, music producers and all other creative audio enthusiasts. The focus will be on recording techniques, mixing and mastering - offering expert tips and tricks of the trade.
Each day features 'keynote' lectures addressing specific topics, masterclasses with renowned producers and listening sessions where participants can play their own work and discuss techniques to overcome specific problems. There will also be manufacturer sessions highlighting the latest cutting edge technology, practical demonstrations to show how technology can solve problems and forums where participants can fire questions at producers and manufacturing experts.
The event takes place at Northbrook’s Durrington Campus on 12th and 13th November. To find out more and to book a place, visit
