Music at Northbrook
Northbrook represents one of the pre-eminent providers of creative music production, composition, business and performance in South East England with over 400 students studying in music facilities which are among the foremost in the country.
The courses are developed in close partnership with industry, ensuring currency of provision and graduate employability. This is underpinned by the endorsements of professional bodies, alumni and reviewers. The partnership with the University and location close to the Brighton music hub ensures that students enjoy all the advantages of being at the heart of the UK's music scene.
All the Music Degree courses at Northbrook consist of modular, project-based units that build upon one another. This curriculum design allows us to develop your knowledge and your skills logically and methodically. Each unit is an exciting and relevant self-contained project consisting of practical and written elements through which you will be assessed. As you progress through your Degree, more and more emphasis will be placed upon you to ensure you get the work done, developing your skills in self-management and preparing you for a successful career in the music industry. To support your academic studies we also provide real world extracurricular activities. We have our own record label for students to release their music and a promotion company that hosts regular nights in and around Worthing and Brighton. Both of these companies are run by students in every capacity and at every level giving you the chance to show industry experience in your CV.
