Flying High at Awards

Technology Awards

Technology students from Northbrook have celebrated their achievements at the College’s annual Technology Awards Ceremony.

Northbrook’s Technology awards are awarded and supported each year by companies and individuals such as Esso, Ricardo, Olley Air Service, Mr and Mrs Mollison on behalf of Amy Johnson and the Fleet Air Arm Association.

Many of the awards were first donated to the College in the 1930s, when the Shoreham Airport campus was the famous Chelsea College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering and they have been presented to students every year since.

Guests included Managing Director Alan Mackrill of IMI Awards, the leading awarding body for the retail sector of the motor industry. Also attending were members of the B&W Group, Darren Batterbee from Snap-on Tools and former students now employed by Ricardo Engineering.

The awards ceremony took place in the Arundel Restaurant at Northbrook’s University Centre, West Durrington.
