As reported in our May news article, “ Digital Arts student to film for The Royal Navy”, Digital Arts student, Paris Johnson was chosen to produce a film for The Royal Navy and recently received a letter of thanks from a Royal Navy Commander. The brief was to provide material for a presentation at the Chief Naval Engineering Officers Conference.

Commander Royal Navy Officer McNair said of Paris’ work “Many thanks for the fantastic filming of 764 Naval Air Squadron at HMS Sultan. I think you really captured the effect that I hoped for; you managed in a 90 second clip to demonstrate the modern professional approach to teaching we are aiming for at this school and in Royal Navy".

"Your short clip was used at a presentation that we made to over 250 Naval Engineers. I received many comments on the professional look and feel of the filming and a number of people were surprised to ding out that the work had been carried out by students. I fully intend to use your clip again”.

Paris has had a string of achievements whilst studying her Digital Arts course. Her photography has been published in The Mail Online and Sky Sports Online, she has had a competition video entry shortlisted for the Natwest Venus Business Awards and she was the official photographer at the Rio Ferdinand book launch of My Decade as Red.
