Where can you see the Mayor laying bricks while a college Principal gets a free manicure? These were some of the ‘have a go’ activities on offer to the hundreds who attended Worthing’s education fair on Saturday.
Staff and students from local colleges set up stalls in the main hall at Worthing Leisure Centre to showcase the huge range of options available to school leavers in the area.
Northbrook College exhibited several stands from different departments in the College. Among them, the ‘have a go’ activities included bricklaying from the Construction department, pancake making from the Catering department, electronic drumming from the music department and badge making from the Art and Design department. Meanwhile, the Beauty department offered free manicures and Performing Arts students staged a display of singing and dancing. There were also displays of fashion design and film making and the engineering department brought one of their motorbikes.
