orthbrook College art graduates exhibited their paintings in a car show room to help mark the launch of the new Nissan Cube car.
Ten Fine Art Degree graduates were selected to showcase their work at Yeomans Nissan in Worthing. The exhibition is one of a series of events planned to celebrate the launch of Nissan’s all-new, third-generation Cube.
Artists included Alison Martin, Claire Phillips and Tone Holman. Since graduating, Alison has continued her work as an artist and will be exhibiting at other venues within Sussex in the near future.
Claire currently has an exhibition on death row subjects at Worthing Museum & Art Gallery until 20th March. ‘The Human Face of Death Row’ features large scale portraits and captivating biographies of the death row subjects who Claire interviewed in America as part of her Art Council Funded project.
Norwegian graduate, Tone Holman, displayed a painting called C02, which she was inspired to paint after spending time on a science ship carrying out research into climate change in the North Pole. Tone, who now lives in Worthing said, “I was very lucky to get the chance to spend two weeks as the ship’s artist-in-residence and I saw some incredible sights. I used my experiences on the ship to inspire my artwork.”
