Polly trained as an actor at Ivy House Drama School: Middlesex University.  She recently completed an MA in Theatre Directing at the University of East London, where she has written, devised and directed a variety of pieces at Stratford Circus, London (Regard, Bien Regard; Out of Order, The Clock Thief). Polly is a singer and has performed with both choirs and bands. She was also a member of Berkshire’s Clowning and TIE Theatre Company Teatro Unfortunato touring venues across the south east.


Since 2003 Polly has Course lead Level 3 Performing Arts programmes and has directed over 45 Level 3, 4 and 5 productions.  She is currently Course leader for the Extended Diploma in Performing Arts: Musical Theatre and Acting pathways at Northbrook College, she also lectures on the FDA Acting and Contemporary Theatre Making and BA programmes.  She was an external verifier for Edexcel.


Performance and Directing

Directing credits include:


It Snows by Bryony Lavery and Frantic Assembly directing for The National Theatre Connections 500 festival at Northbrook Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre/The Capitol Horsham.


Written, devised and directed a variety of pieces at Stratford Circus, Stratford London.


Closer by Patrick Marber; The Marlborough Theatre Brighton.


Singing credits include: Unfortunate Bongo 5, Vocal Explosion, Acapella Fusion, Fusion 4– Performing in venues such as South Street Arts Reading, South Hill Park Bracknell, The Oxford Playhouse, London Acapella Festival Kings Cross, The Brunswick Brighton, St. Georges Church Brighton and The Brighton Festival.  Support Act for Seckou Keita St Georges Church, Brighton.
