Northbrook Impresses At Brighton Speed Trials

orthbrook students and Formula 3 driver, Shane Kelly, impressed thousands of spectators at the Brighton Speed Trials with the College’s Formula Renault racing car. Shane raced the car along the quarter-mile stretch of Madeira Drive in 12.5 seconds reaching over 110mph. The students on the Foundation Degree in Motorsport and the IMI Diploma were on hand to ensure the car was performing its best. The department has been filming a production titled ‘A Year in the Life of a Motorsport Student’ for the past few months and the event, the oldest of its type in the country, provided the perfect finish.
