Towards Independence

Courses for Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LLDD)

The Towards Independence programme is designed to provide access to education for adults with learning difficulties. All courses are part time and provision can be made for learners with a variety of learning needs. We offer a variety of three hour sessions, Monday to Thursday, at the 14-19 Centre, Broadwater.

The programme offers the following three hour classes:
Art & 3D Design
Creative Arts
Creative IT & Photography
Drama
Music & Dance
Shop & Cook
Independent Living
Health & Wellbeing
Community Projects
Gardening
Life & Work Skills
Social & Sensory

Learners are invited to apply for more than one session across the week. Costs are £296 per chosen programme of study over a 34 week academic year and are inclusive of resource fees.

Learners will need to bring money to College every week for buying drinks/snacks at break time.
