Fixed Term Contract from 1 year of appointment
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer to effectively deliver outstanding education and training across our vocational provision on NVQ and BTEC National and Higher National Electronic Engineering courses.
Working with students aged from 16+ in a workshop environment, you will have a hands on role delivering a curriculum to suit the students’ needs and ensuring the competence of the next generation of skilled engineers. You should have a good understanding of the needs and issues of young people and be able to communicate effectively with them.
It is essential that you hold a degree in Electronic Engineering (or a higher masters qualification) and have experience of teaching on Electronic Engineering courses. You should also be able to demonstrate a solid experience of work in the design, building and testing of electronic PCBs and have knowledge of analogue, digital and microprocessor circuit design.
You also need to hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to attain a teaching qualification to DTLLS level or equivalent within 2 years, also an assessor or verifier award (TAQA or V1).
