Vanessa studied at Reading university, King’s College London and RADA. Her theatre experience ranges from running a theatre company to developing and directing new writing projects in London. She also worked in film and television in Greece focusing on producing and directing music videos. Her research and professional interests are in the field of actor training trends, digital and collaborative pedagogies and devising dramaturgies.



Research has included working with the Prague Quadrennial on the role of silence in devising, blogging, podcasting, infographics and visual essays  in education, University of Brighton Fellowships.


Research and conference presentations on transmedia and its developing role in Actor Training.


Most recent completed project supported by RSA funding focused on researching and presenting on a collaborative writing project.


Other Information

Collaboration with transmedia artists and host of the first UK conference on Transmedia and Actor training.


Vanessa leads and curates the Northbrook Alumni group which helps our graduates network and support each other, while staying in touch with current opportunities and events in the industry.


HEA Fellowship Status via the University of Brighton’s Professional Recognition & Development (PRD) Scheme.
