This course combines theory and practical tasks in the College’s aircraft hangar.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed for anyone who has an interest in mechanical engineering, machining, restoration and creative metalwork as a hobby, pastime or to enhance your existing skills.
the course will cover instruction in the safe and efficient use of a wide range of mechanical engineering machining equipment and processes. Students have access to lathes, milling machines, bench fitting, welding, fabrication, grinding etc, using our extensive workshop facilities.

This course has provided opportunities for people who already work in engineering to gain knowledge and skills that have empowered them to make progress in the work place. There are also benefits from undertaking this course when enrolling on other courses that involve practical hand skills such as sculpture and creative metalwork practices.
