Jewellery Making in Metal | Improvers – Spring Term

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is aimed at those wishing to improve their jewellery making skills in metal, to design and create silver jewellery. The course is ideal for students who have completed the beginner’s course and wish to further develop the skills they have learnt.
Techniques covered include polishing, sawing and piercing, silver soldering, creating pattern and texture with hammers and the rolling mill and polishing.
By the end of the course you will be able to confidently design and make simple pieces of jewellery.
Copper will be provided for samples but metal for projects and saw blades will need to be purchased separately.

Please wear closed toe sensible footwear. A notebook/sketchbook and a tiny paintbrush would be useful.

Tutor: Mireille Clark. This course runs on a Wednesday 1800-2100

This course is aimed at those who wish to practice their basic jewellery making skills and explore some new techniques to design and create metal jewellery. Not suitable for complete beginners
