Painting & Drawing Intermediate – The History of Art Materials

COURSE OVERVIEW

We shall be looking at the history of art materials and, in some cases, making our own paint. We will start looking at cave painting, go on to egg tempera, oil paint and finish with acrylics.

By the end of the course you will be able to work in a wide variety of media. The aim is to give students the opportunity to try as much as possible in the way of drawing and painting.

A full materials list will be given at the start of each term, but a budget of around £50.00 per term would be needed.

Tutor Steve Carroll. This course will run on a Wednesday evening 1900-2100.

FURTHER INFORMATION

This course is suitable for students who are already experienced in some aspects of painting and drawing, but who want to develop their skills further.
