COURSE OVERVIEW
Ideal for anyone who has an interest in creating their very own decorative ceramics for the garden. You will be shown how to make Bird Feeders, Garden Bells/Chimes and Plant Stake Toppers using hand building techniques.
The Tutor will demonstrate a range of hand building techniques such as pinching, extruding and slab work to make a variety of decorative garden ceramics. Students will have the opportunity to make the garden ornaments of their choice and decorate them with coloured slip. Work will be fired and ready for collection at a later date.
Bring along lots of enthusiasm together with images/designs that you would like to replicate on your tile or wall piece. Pinterest is a great resource for inspiration if you’re stuck! Materials for this course are included in the course fee. Please wear old clothes- preferably trousers as you will be sitting astride a wheel /an overall/apron and strong, flat, closed-toe footwear.

Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
