Make the most of these extraordinary times and gain a nationally-recognised qualification. A short online course is a significant first step to improving your skills and achieving your career goals.
COURSE OVERVIEW
For beginners and experienced artists a like. Learn modelling techniques and experience the pleasure of working with clay to create a bird sculpture. We will be working on a small sculpture, looking at texture and surface and what it suggests. The tutor will demonstrate a range of techniques used when working in paperclay and you will be shown how to construct your bird. Students are encouraged to research and bring along sketches and photographs of their own to refer to when making their own bird. Typically you will make one sculpture during the day.**Due to the large ceramic/pottery provision offered throughout the college, please note that firing of work is not simultaneous and at some points during the year it can take longer than we would wish. Your tutor will however aim to get your work fired in a reasonable timeframe.
