Pottery | Sculpting hares in paper clay – 1 Saturday/Spring Term

COURSE OVERVIEW

For beginners and experienced artists alike. Learn modelling techniques and experience the pleasure of working with clay to create a hare sculpture. We will be working on a small sculpture, looking at texture and surface and what it suggests.
The tutor will demonstrate a ranges of techniques used when working in paper clay and you will be shown how to construct your hare. Students are encouraged to research and bring along sketches and photographs of their own to refer to when making their own hare.
Typically you will make one sculpture during the day.
Due to the large ceramic/pottery provision offered throughout the college, please note that firing of work is not simultaneous and at some points during the year it can take longer than we would wish. Your tutor will however aim to get your work fired in a reasonable timeframe.

This workshop runs on a Saturday 1000-1600
