Acrylic Painting – Exploring the Diversity of Acrylic Painting

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course will explore the use of modern-day acrylic painting materials.

Using a range of traditional subject matter, together with strong drawing and painting approaches, we will test the dynamics of acrylic: thick and transparent, mixed media, alternative grounds, diverse application methods and techniques.

By the end of the course, you will have a greater set of skills, knowledge and experience, be able to plan a painting and problem-solve constructively; have at least five paintings and sketches to build your future projects upon.

This course runs on a Monday morning 0930-1145

Tutor Jason Powers: Teaching across the adult sector for over twenty years, covering a diverse range of creative interests (portraiture, life classes, drawing, painting, and mixed media) various learner skills and experiences, Jason shares his extensive knowledge and practice through a structured, relaxed and flexible approach to learning. Having studied at Chelsea, Falmouth and Chichester university, Jason continues to exhibit county wide and nationally, and often at the annual Discerning Eye exhibitions, London.
