COURSE OVERVIEW
This course develops your skills in a broad range of acting styles and techniques, including physical theatre, improvisation, devising and script work. Actors work collaboratively to create and stage performances, learning through practical workshops, industry-relevant seminars and coursework. Industry-based projects and work experience opportunities are part of each course curriculum, enabling you to further develop the skills to progress to a career in the performance industry with the energy and confidence to thrive. Public performances in our 160-seat professional theatre and other spaces within and outside the College will prepare you for a successful career or further study. This Level 3 Diploma leads directly onto the second year, the Extended Diploma, where you will further develop your creative understanding and specialist skills, and gain the experience needed to progress to university, drama school or a theatre conservatoire.

FURTHER INFORMATION
To join this Level 3 course, you should have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C)or above, preferably including English and maths, and you will be asked toperform a 1-2 minute monologue at interview.If you do not have the above grades, you can start on one of the MET’s Level 2courses.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
