Art History – The Art of Russia: from Pre-history to Putin
COURSE OVERVIEW
We shall look at the history of Russia from Prehistory to Putin, taking in icon painting, Russian Romanticism and Impressionism, through to Soviet art and the post-Soviet period. The diverse forms of Russian art are mind stretching.
Tutor: Steve Carroll Cert.Ed. is an experienced teacher and a professional artist. He especially likes to build confidence in his students and explain the making of art from a practical perspective. He is also an accredited lecturer with the Arts Society.
This course runs on a Friday afternoon 14:00-16:00

There is no formal assessment
