COURSE OVERVIEW
Bricklayers are currently in high demand and are well paid. This fun and exciting course will give you the skills and knowledge you will need to start your career as a bricklayer and prepare you for employment in the industry. The course is taught by industry-experienced tradespeople in our Centre of Excellence for Brickwork and our facilities simulate real work environments. Based in our newly refurbished workshops, our expert teachers will give you the confidence to work as part of a team and on your own.

FURTHER INFORMATION
To start at Level 1, you should have at least two GCSEs at grade 2 (F) or above, preferably including English and maths. If you do not have the required entry grades you may be suited to an Inclusion Pathfinders course.
After successful completion of your Level 1 move to Level 2.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.

HOW THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORKS
Set Up Your Account
You’ll be prompted to create an account which will allow you to log in to our Application Tracker website whenever you wish. This will provide you with important information and you can also track the progress of your application.
Apply
Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.
Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.
What next?
Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
