COURSE OVERVIEW
We will be exploring the art of collage using cut-paper art and mixed media techniques, whilst exploring both past and contemporary approaches to this wonderfully imaginative and diverse practice.
Including a brief history of collage, traditional patterns and printed papers, collaging techniques, paint and other mixed media to create individual fine art pieces.
By the end of the course you will be able to create cut paper and collage objects using your own designs/sketches and produce at least 3 pieces of finished work. Entry level.
This course runs Thursday morning 0930-1145
Tutor Jason Powers: Teaching across the adult sector for over twenty years, covering a diverse range of creative interests (portraiture, life classes, drawing, painting, and mixed media) various learner skills and experiences, Jason shares his extensive knowledge and practice through a structured, relaxed and flexible approach to learning. Having studied at Chelsea, Falmouth and Chichester university, Jason continues to exhibit county wide and nationally, and often at the annual Discerning Eye exhibitions, London.
