Jewellery Making in Metal for Beginners

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is aimed at those wishing to learn basic jewellery making skills in metal, to design and create silver or copper jewellery.

Techniques covered include sawing and piercing, silver soldering, creating pattern and texture with hammers and the rolling mill and polishing.

By the end of the course you will be able to design and make a silver ring and other simple pieces of metal or silver jewellery.

Copper will be provided for samples and silver for the first ring is included but silver for further projects and additional saw blades will need to be purchased. Please wear closed toe sensible footwear. A notebook/sketchbook and a tiny paintbrush would be useful.
