Northbrook College Lights Up with Creativity at Summer Showcase Prize Giving
A vibrant sense of excitement filled Northbrook College as it hosted its End of Year Summer Showcase prize giving, celebrating exceptional talent across the Creative Industries.
The event saw a variety of prizes given out, including both runners-up and winners, across a wide range of subjects, including Theatre, Music, Art & Design, and Beauty.
One special award went to Katie Cox, as she received a certificate after her design was selected as the official summer poster for this year’s End of Year showcase.
Next, it was time for a selection of Higher Education (HE) awards, with certificates awarded to two runners-up and a winner’s certificate for their work in this year’s End of Year Summer Showcase.
The event continued with the Higher Education (HE) Theatre and Music Summer Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement across both disciplines, with top honours presented in Music and Theatre.
This was followed by a wide-ranging celebration of Further Education (FE) achievements, with wards presented across the Art and Design Show, Music, Theatre, and Beauty.
Awards for both winners and runners-up showcased the depth of talent, personal development and professional progress across HE and FE.
The ceremony also recognised all the support that students have received from all their tutors, technicians, the pastoral team and the additional learning support team.
Helena Thomas, Principal of Northbrook College, said:
“The Summer Showcase is always one of the highlights of the year, providing a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity, talent and dedication of our students. The work on display demonstrates not only their technical skills and artistic vision, but also the determination and professionalism they have developed throughout their studies.
“These awards recognise exceptional achievement across both Further Education and Higher Education, and I am incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished. I look forward to seeing the impact they will make as they take their next steps in the creative industries and beyond.”
