Saphron Morgan's Return to Northbrook College Ignites Dreams and Sparks Creativity

Northbrook College warmly welcomed back one of its outstanding alumni, Saphron Morgan, this past October.

The renowned makeup artist, who recently emerged as the victor on BBC Three’s ‘Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star’, spent several days at her former educational institution, sharing her incredible story, expertise, and creative insights with eager students.

Saphron’s visit was a testament to her extraordinary journey from a student to a celebrated makeup artist on a national stage.

Saphron started her journey at Northbrook College, where she honed her skills and laid the foundation for her impressive career. Her return to the college was not just a homecoming but also an opportunity to give back to the institution that played a pivotal role in her career path.

During her visit, Saphron shared her experiences on ‘Glow Up’, a competition where she consistently impressed the judges with her unwavering artistry.

Notably, Saphron never faced elimination throughout the competition, and in the final episode, she wowed the judges, earning praise as ‘an artist’ in her own right. Her former tutor, Allison Pollard, expressed her pride in Saphron’s success, highlighting her remarkable journey from a student eager to learn to a nationally recognised makeup artist.

For Saphron, makeup has become more than just a profession; it’s a form of self-expression and a powerful tool to combat anxiety. During her visit, she emphasised that makeup is all about creativity and making oneself feel good.

Her journey through ‘Glow Up’ and subsequent success have propelled her beyond her own expectations. Now, she envisions merging traditional and unconventional makeup techniques, expressing a desire to participate in fashion weeks and create her own fantasy characters using prosthetics.
