About this Course

For students of all abilities. As the summer break stretches on, this course is designed for writers to bring along their Work in Progress and share it with other students for either general encouragement, or specific advice.

Course Content

This one day course will cover what you need - bring along your work and read an extract to the class. Along with feedback and encouragement, there will be technical advice. In addition, I will provide a number of writing exercises designed to stimulate your creativity.

What you will achieve

By the end of the course you will be able to tackle your writing projects with renewed confidence and hopefully be inspired to write more material, sparked by the writing exercises you will be working on during the day.

Progression/Career Path

You could enrol on a Creative Writing course at Northbrook MET. Many students have attended these courses, finding the advice and encouragement helpful to their writing. A number of students have also had their work published in magazines and won prizes in writing competitions.

What you need to bring

Please bring along a packed lunch, as well as writing materials and copies of your own work. There are no other costs involved in this course.
