About this Course


An enjoyable hands-on lino printing course suitable for beginners or those with some experience of relief printmaking. Learn how to design and create single and multiple blocks for printing.

Course Content

  • Designing and creating a series of lino blocks
  • Experimenting with single and multiple blocks
  • Developing work using the reduction print process
  • Inking up and printing in black & white and colour
  • Printing by hand and with the Britannia relief printing press.
  • Printing onto different papers and prepared surfaces

What you will achieve

By the end of the course you will be able to produce a series of lino cut prints using a range of methods.

Progression/Career Path

Try out other printmaking processes at our Saturday workshops or evening classes or use the work as part of a portfolio for applying to various Art & Design courses

Other Costs

Bring in reference material to work from e.g. photographs or drawings. Also bring an apron, scissors, pencil, glue stick plus lino cutting tools if you have them.


Lino Blocks, inks and assorted paper are provided.
