Course delivery and assessment is carried out through practical activities, problem-solving, design and development based on realistic workplace scenarios to conduct research and complete assignment and project work.
At Level 2, students will complete mandatory and optional units in a variety of IT subject areas. Students are expected to study and achieve English / Maths GCSE at grade C/4 or Functional Skills at level 2.
Students are assessed via observations, completion of practical / written assignments and online tests, which will be either internally or externally set. Presentations may also be used for assessing communication skills. In addition, students will be required to take Functional Skills (English, IT and Maths) as required.
After 1 year at Level 2
you can achieve a BTEC Level 1/2 Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technology.
This means you can apply for and progress to Level 3 of this course.
