You will be either working in our industrial kitchens with a trained
chef lecturer developing an array of kitchen skills and techniques,
or serving food produced in either our coffee shop or fine dining restaurant where you will develop food service skills as well as customer care, bar and cashiering experience.
Visits to local hotels and restaurants, as well as other local catering
establishments, will broaden your knowledge of the industry. You will also complete a one week work placement.
You will have the opportunity to enter regional cookery competitions,
cater for community events and work with celebrity chefs.
GCSE’s in English and Maths are part of the core programme of study. Students who have not achieved an A*-C or 9-4 grade in English and Maths will be required to study the appropriate level as part of their main qualification. More information
