The study programme is a full-time study programme for students who are 16+
This course is designed for young people like you who might find a mainstream environment challenging but are keen to advance in education. It is a specialised provision tailored for young people with emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties. You will be in the right environment to further develop your independence, personal and social skills.
You will study English, maths, a Level 1 qualification and you will participate in a tutorial and enrichment programme. You will receive personalised guidance and information about progression paths.
There is the opportunity for Level 1 students to take part in taster sessions on vocational courses in the second term. At the end of the year, we want you to leave with your personal confidence and life skills boosted as well as your English, Maths. Successfully completing this course will ensure you are ready to take the next step to reach your goals.

Anyone who is over 16
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, you are required to show willingness to learn, participate in and develop skills in a college environment. Following an interview it is expected that you will attend a taster session to determine suitability for the course and to ensure that your needs are met.

Students aged 16 to 18 who do not already have GCSE qualifications in maths and/or English at grades 4 (C) – 9 (A*) will take qualifications in English and/or maths as part of their vocational study programme – this is a government requirement.
Class sizes are around 15 students and support is available both in and outside of sessions, as appropriate. The programme also offers the opportunity to work together and build confidence, you are also given the opportunity to participate in an enterprise initiative
