Why this course?
This jewellery-making course is for learners who have completed a beginner’s course and want to develop their metalworking skills further. You will learn to design and create simple silver jewellery, building confidence with a range of techniques and workshop practices. By the end of the course, you will be able to design and make your own jewellery pieces. Course times: 18:00-21:00

This course is aimed at those who wish to practice their jewellery making skills further and explore a wider range of techniques to design and create metal jewellery. Not suitable for complete beginners. Students must be aged 19+
- Polishing metal to achieve a professional finish.
- Sawing and piercing metal to create shapes and designs.
- Silver soldering to join metal components securely.
- Creating decorative patterns and textures using hammers.
- Using a rolling mill to produce textured and patterned metal surfaces.
Enrol on a further term to practice and develop your skills.
Continuous classroom assessment.
Copper is supplied for samples. Project metals and saw blades must be purchased separately. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a notebook/sketchbook and small paintbrush.
