COURSE OVERVIEW
This highly practical course is an excellent introduction to a career in music. Based within the exciting and vibrant creative industries department, this course will allow you to study a range of music-related skills. You will study aspects of creating music, recording music and video making, creating a simple website to showcase your work. The range of exciting projects will also allow you to develop life and learning skills to prepare you for further education or employment.

FURTHER INFORMATION
You should ideally have two GCSEs at grade 2 (F) or above (preferably in English and maths).
Additional requirements
You will also be able to demonstrate at interview that you have the right ability for this course.

On successful completion, you can progress to a Level 2 course in Music Performance & Production.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
