COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is intended as a professional foundation in music performance and/or production practices and will provide you with an opportunity to stretch and refine your practical skills ready for your next step into training or industry. It is available as a one-year full-time course giving access into employment and will open up the possibility of further progression to university. It could be of interest to the in the industry wanting a recognised qualification in line with their experience.
The course is focused on career development and professional mentoring; You will identify an area of your practice that you want to develop, and build a portfolio of work that shows your progress.

To start at this level, you need to have successfully completed a related Extended Diploma or equivalent (A-Levels).
On successful completion of the Professional Diploma, you can begin your performance career or progress to a university-level course, either at Northbrook College or other drama schools or universities.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.

Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.
