COURSE OVERVIEW
Transform your passion for music into a career with this exciting course, designed to develop a range of creative music production skills. Based in our state-of-the-art recording studio complex and taught by music industry professionals, you will explore a broad range of music production skills, as well as learning about the music industry. Industry-based projects and work experience opportunities are part of each course curriculum, enabling you to further develop the skills to progress to a career in the music industry with the energy and confidence to thrive. You can choose to specialise in Music Production or DJ & Electronic music.

FURTHER INFORMATION
To start at this level, you need at least four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, preferably including English and maths.
Further study
After one year at Level 3, most students go on to the second year to gain the Extended Diploma.
This prepares you to go on to university degree courses in music production.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
