PAINTING & DRAWING – ALL ABILITIES – Summer Term

COURSE OVERVIEW

Creative drawing and painting projects using watercolours and acrylics. Follow the tasks or develop your own ideas with plenty of advice and support. This enjoyable course is suitable for all abilities including beginners.

How to use watercolours and acrylics in a range of painting styles, colour theory, colour mixing, what to paint on etc. Whatever your level the tasks will be attainable, inspiring and will challenge your skills.

By the end of the course you will be able to show that you have practised several different painting techniques, make decisions on media and composition, produce at least 7 finished pieces of artwork, assess your progress on the course.

This course runs on a Thursday 1230-1430

Tutor Jason Powers: Teaching across the adult sector for over twenty years, covering a diverse range of creative interests (portraiture, life classes, drawing, painting, and mixed media) various learner skills and experiences, Jason shares his extensive knowledge and practice through a structured, relaxed and flexible approach to learning. Having studied at Chelsea, Falmouth and Chichester university, Jason continues to exhibit county wide and nationally, and often at the annual Discerning Eye exhibitions, London.
