COURSE OVERVIEW
This painting course is devoted to the landscape and nature, referencing the work of artists, past and present. Use acrylic paints or oils to create images of rural scenes and natural forms. All abilities welcome.
How to use different media to create beautiful landscape paintings and images of natural forms, exploring composition, texture and colour, representational and abstracted landscape, art history.
By the end of the course you will have practised colour mixing, show that you can plan an image effectively regarding composition, colour and tone, produce at least 5 pieces of work including samples and finished artwork, assess your progress with the activities at an introductory or intermediate level.
This course runs on a Friday 1230-1430
Tutor: Beth Newman-Moseley is a visual artist and lecturer currently based in Brighton, UK. Through drawing, painting, and experimental photographic processes, her practice explores the intersection of the imaginary and the real – seeking to transform intuitive visions and everyday experiences into ambiguous, and often dream-like, narratives.
She graduated from UAL Camberwell College of Arts, with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art: Photography.
