COURSE OVERVIEW
Acrylic paint is so versatile, allowing a variety of exciting techniques to be explored. This course is for those using acrylics and those who would like to try them for the first time. Techniques fully explained and demonstrated.
topics covered: basic techniques, paint mediums, brushes etc., how to start a painting, colour mixing, what to paint on, interpreting the world around you. Whatever your level the tasks will be attainable, inspiring and will challenge your skills.
By the end of the course you will be able to show that you have practiced and used acrylic paint at an introductory or intermediate level, made decisions on composition and colour, produced at least 3 finished pieces of artwork, assessed your progress on the course.
This course runs on a Thursday morning 0930-1145
Tutor Jason Powers: Teaching across the adult sector for over twenty years, covering a diverse range of creative interests (portraiture, life classes, drawing, painting, and mixed media) various learner skills and experiences, Jason shares his extensive knowledge and practice through a structured, relaxed and flexible approach to learning. Having studied at Chelsea, Falmouth and Chichester university, Jason continues to exhibit county wide and nationally, and often at the annual Discerning Eye exhibitions, London.
