COURSE OVERVIEW
This course covers a range of theatre arts disciplines, both performance-based and behind-the-scenes in production.
You can opt to focus on either performance subjects (acting, dance, singing)or production subjects (lighting, sound, set design).
If you are still deciding whether you prefer performance or production, you can opt to mix and match the course units and gain a general qualification.This will allow you to specialise further down the line in your studies.

FURTHER INFORMATION
This Level 2 course is for students who at least 3 GCSEs at grade 3 (D/E) orabove, preferably including English or maths.If you do not have these grades start on the Level 1 course.
Further study
After Level 2, you can progress to a Level 3 Diploma in Theatre Technology, Dance, Acting or Design for Theatre.
If you have been exploring both performance and production elements of this exciting industry, you may want to specialise in a particular area. This could affect your choices in terms of which Level 3 course you want to progress to or what jobs are available to you if you wish to go straight into employment.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.

Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.
