This course has been devised in response to industry and student-led demand for practical training in makeup and hairdressing techniques for theatre, film, TV, fashion, festival, carnival and entertainment arenas.

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course covers a range of theatre arts disciplines, both performance-based and behind-the-scenes in production. You can opt to focus on either performance subjects (acting, dance, singing) or production subjects (lighting, sound, set design). If you are still deciding whether you prefer performance or production, you can opt to mix and match the
course units and gain a general qualification. This will allow you to specialise later in your studies.
The college offers unrivalled facilities, including a 160-seat professional theatre, high specification rehearsal and dance studios, and extensive production workshops.

FURTHER INFORMATION
At least two GCSEs at grade 2 or above, preferably including English and maths.
After Level 1, you can progress to a Level 2 Diploma in Theatre Performing and Production Arts.
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’; projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
