COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is suitable for anyone interested in woodworking to learn and practice the skills required to make furniture and other wooden items. The course is suitable for students of all abilities.
Students will be shown how to select and use woodworking tools, select and mark out timber, cut and fit woodworking joints such as mitres and dovetails and design and create project pieces.
By the end of the course you will be able to select and use the correct woodworking tools, identify types of timbers and their suitability, make project pieces suited to own level of ability and sand and finish your work.
Tutor: James Gallagher. This course runs on a Tuesday evening 1830-2100
