Learn through industry experience

If you want to work in motorsport, you need to be comfortable around real vehicles, real equipment and real performance engineering, and that’s exactly what you’ll find here.  

On campus, you’ll work with: 

  • fleet of race vehicles, including a City Car Cup car, Formula Renault single-seater, Yamaha R1 motorcycle and go-karts  
  • Purpose-built workshops for vehicle build, inspection and system development 
  • High-spec computer suites with CAD and CFD software for design and simulation 
  • 3D printing and rapid prototyping tools 
  • Race simulators for setup, testing and performance analysis

Team Northbrook Racing (TNR)

At Northbrook, you won’t just study motorsport, you’ll live it. 

As part of your course, you’ll work with Team Northbrook Racing (TNR), our in-house racing team competing in the Student Motorsport Challenge.  

  • 3x consecutive champions (2022, 2023, 2024) 
  • Competed at iconic circuits including Silverstone and Brands Hatch 
  • Real race-day experience you can’t replicate in the classroom 

Through TNR, you’ll develop:

Real career outcomes

Our courses are designed to take you from student to industry professional. 

Graduates have gone on to roles such as: 

  • Motorsport technicians and engineers 
  • Pit crew members in Formula racing teams 
  • Vehicle designers with leading manufacturers like McLaren, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Rolls-Royce 

One former student progressed from Level 2 all the way to a Motorsport Technician role at McLaren, building and developing GT race cars.
