Northbrook College students showcase artwork at award winning brewery
A group of students recently held an art show at the Brewhouse and Kitchen last to gain professional experience and showcase their work to the public.
Foundation Art students exhibited their work last month at a ‘Sip & See’ after being tasked to design their own labels and beer can designs.
The students explored various methods through photography, printmaking, textiles and digitally, to produce a range of creative and unique designs.
During the main event, students displayed their work on a large monitor for visitors and customers of the brewhouse to view.
Eleanor Bond, Art and Design lecturer, said: “The ‘Sip & See’ Private View evening was a chance to celebrate the hard work achieved by the students.
“They have produced some impressive artwork, all alongside preparations for their final show at college. The group came together to help with the final setting up of the show and I have no doubt they will remember this event and the exciting atmosphere it created.
“It was a pleasure to meet friends and family and to see just how proud everyone was. Art Foundation is an impactful and intense year of exploring and experiencing art in all its forms and we are pleased to have had this opportunity to showcase a small selection of this outside of the college.”
